How to Find the Perfect Employee using the Law of Attraction

Limiting Belief: “Good employees are hard to find these days.”
Playback Affirmation: “Even though it’s difficult for me to find a good employee to hire, I completely accept myself…And I am willing to open my eyes to the possibility that the right person for the job may in fact be right in front of me, or will soon show up. And I choose to trust that there is a perfect match where the ideal person is also looking for the exact job I’m offering.”

I got it!
I finally understand how the Law of Attraction works for attracting the right people to my company!
Just to recap in case you haven’t read my first post on this blog: I work in a family-owned management and marketing team for a hotel in California. Part of my position involves hiring people. And I certainly did it the hard way for a long time—until now!
I’m so excited to share with you how I did this!
Over 10 months ago, I had been working on hiring the right person for a Front Desk Agent position we wanted to fill. I tried the traditional ways of offering job applications to anyone who wanted to apply, posted the job opening on online job boards, and advertised in newspapers. After trying out a few new hires (who were all “almost” a good fit for the position) we thought we found the perfect person for the position. However, she decided after a few months that gas for her truck was too expensive for the commute and she needed to find a job closer to home. After that, our management team decided that we would just “make do” with the Front Desk staff we currently had, including the Agent we wanted to replace. We basically had this limiting belief that training was expensive and it hadn’t paid off; we were out the training money and still hadn’t found the right employee.
Just one month ago, it became evident that the employee we had given up on replacing wanted to quit. She had expressed on a few occasions that she was “reaching the breaking point”, was “this close to quitting” and wanted to focus on finding a job in the career she was attending college for. We had also noted that her job performance was sliding, and instinctively knew it was time again to start searching for someone to replace her.
Two weeks later, I was carpooling with my sister to get a few office supplies. While I was sitting in the passenger seat, I made note of the fact that it was time to start another hiring process. I almost got a headache thinking about it! My eyes started to hurt and I closed them to get some relief. As I did this, something happened in my thinking that is so out of character for me to do…
My stream of consciousness went like this: “Ugh, I don’t want to sift through hundreds of applications, schedule interviews for the hopefully qualified candidates, hire one of them…discover that the new-hire wasn’t a good match…end up dismissing this person…repeat process. But let’s not think about that—What I’d really like to happen, is for it to be easy; to cut across all this busy-work, and just have the right person for this job to just magically show up at the Front Desk of the hotel and ask to fill out an application—wouldn’t it be nice?! But this sounds SO crazy! The front desk staff has been instructed not to hand out employment applications, and we want to be discreet about hiring—How is this ‘right person for the job’ able to fill out an application and cut through this red-tape we created?! Well hmm…if the Law of Attraction is said to work despite what we perceive as ‘obstacles’…I’m just going to leave it up to you, Universe. YOU take over and bring us ‘the right person’! However, if it’s meant to be that I must do the busy-work-hiring-method in order for ‘the right person’ for the job to appear, then I guess I’m okay with doing that too. I’ve been there, done that…doing it again won’t kill me.”
And then after asking the Universe to bring to us the perfect person for the job, I let this thought go and opened my eyes. Two minutes later (I kid you not!) one of our hotel vendors called us to let us know that he had two people who he recommended for the job. (I had asked him over a week ago if he knew anyone. He was now getting back to me about this.)
When I got back to the office, I printed out two applications (I wanted to be discreet and didn’t want the Front Desk to give just anyone an application) and put them in envelopes with corresponding names of the two people our vendor recommended. When I went to the Front Desk to leave the envelopes for pick up to the Front Desk agent (no, no…NOT the one we were planning on replacing!) to give to the recommendees, our Front Desk Agent explained to me that the employee we were planning on replacing had just called in to verbally quit.
I dropped my jaw…WHAT?! It wasn’t supposed to happen like this! But then I noticed there was a guy standing at the Front Desk filling out what I recognized as our employment application. I gave the Front Desk Agent a quizzical look (as I hadn’t instructed the Staff to hand out any applications!) and she said it was a total coincidence and perfect timing because her fiancé had just moved back to the city and asked her if we had any job openings (just 5 hours after I had asked the Universe for help!) She explained that she knew she wasn’t supposed to hand out applications without management approval, but that she felt he would be a great addition to our Staff…and of course it was up to me who I wanted to hire, and that since we were now short one Agent, she thought she ought to just give him an Application just in case he happened to be a good fit.
I hired him the next day after his interview and it has turned out to be a blessing! A true miracle! He was exactly what I had asked for—he was easy to train, we received lots of positive feedback about his customer service, and he has often asked what more can he do during slow times (an employer’s dream!).

Wow! This is great! Sometimes it’s hard to have faith in asking for what you need. I too will have to try using the law of attraction to place the right people in my life. Hopefully I too will be able to recognize the moment the universe is giving me a gift.
Nice!! I like how you walked us through your thought process!
Ok now reading part 2.
@Alina, Sometimes we forget that we can even ask! I think that gratitude for what you already have positions you to notice the moments the Universe is giving you the gifts you ask for. Thank you for commenting, it is always a treat
@Aditi, I learn best from other people’s thought processes and so I thought I’d put mine out there…thanks for your feedback!
